Across four states in North-East India, Auxilium Reach Out (ARO) walks alongside communities often left furthest behind — from remote tribal hamlets tucked into hill valleys to the growing towns of the plains. Our work is shaped not by distance from the people we serve, but by closeness to them; many of our own team members come from the very communities where they now work.
Assam is where ARO's story began, and it remains the heart of our work today. From the busy streets of Guwahati to the quiet villages of Kokrajhar, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, and Udalguri, our teams have spent over two decades earning the trust of families navigating poverty, gender-based violence, and the constant threat of trafficking.
In Manipur's Khoupum Valley and the hills around Senapati and Maram, ARO's presence has grown from a single small project into a lasting partnership with agrarian women determined to shape their own futures. When ethnic violence displaced thousands in 2023, our teams delivered emergency relief and gave young people a reason to lead rather than despair.
Reaching villages around Kohima, Dimapur, Wokha, and Zubza, our work in Nagaland is built on listening before acting. The terrain demands patience — steep hills, scattered settlements, and deep-rooted traditions that our teams respect rather than override. Alongside local leaders, we've helped women find new income and given young people the confidence to imagine a different future.
In the far reaches of Arunachal Pradesh — Bordumsa, Itanagar, Tezu, and the villages near Namphai — ARO reaches some of the most remote communities we serve. Our teams travel deep into these areas not as outsiders delivering aid, but as partners walking a shared path toward stronger livelihoods, better health, and lasting dignity for every family we meet.
